How to Live Pain Free
A Mother’s Day Deal
The Skinny on GLP-1’s
Good Morning!
About 10 years ago, shoulder pain started waking me up at night.
At first, it was just discomfort. Then my shoulder began clicking and occasionally felt like it was slipping out of place.
My orthopedist gave me the standard treatment many people know well: a cortisone shot followed by traditional physical therapy.
Neither lasted.
The next step was surgery. But after researching the outcomes, I learned something unsettling: for my issue, surgery was often a toss-up. It helped some people. Others ended up right back where they started.
Then a friend asked me a simple question:
“Have you ever tried postural therapy?”
I hadn’t. In fact, I had never even heard of it.
At the time, there weren’t trained therapists near me, so I flew to Florida to meet one of the founders of the method. Within five minutes, my pain was dramatically reduced. Years later, I’ve still avoided pain-killing shots and surgery.
It sounded almost too simple to be real.
But it worked so well that I eventually became CEO of Egoscue, one of the country’s leading postural therapy companies, where I watched thousands of people reclaim their lives from chronic pain.
People returned to hiking, golfing, traveling, exercising, and playing with their grandkids. One client in our Del Mar, California clinic—a 70-year-old named Bruce—got back to surfing every morning.
And this isn’t just anecdotal.
A multi-year study we conducted with researchers from Harvard and Stanford found that postural therapy significantly outperformed traditional medical care for chronic low back pain.
Published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the study showed participants experienced greater pain reduction, improved quality of life, reduced medication use, and fewer medical procedures.
The reason is simple: When posture breaks down, the body compensates. Certain muscles overwork while others weaken. Joints absorb stress they weren’t designed to handle. Over time, pain becomes chronic.
Restore alignment, however, and the body begins functioning the way it was designed to again.
That’s why I’m excited to share that we now offer postural therapy at Formula 4.
We begin with a consultation and posture analysis, including images that help us evaluate your alignment from head to toe.
From there, we create a personalized sequence of gentle corrective exercises designed to help restore balance and reduce pain naturally.
No drugs. No invasive procedures. No unnecessary strain.
This therapy changed my life, and I believe it can help change yours too.

See you at Formula 4!

The Skinny on GLP-1s
GLP-1 medications and peptides are helping many people lose weight quickly, but there’s an important side of the conversation that often gets ignored.
When weight comes off too fast, muscle and bone density can go with it. Many people also struggle to eat enough quality protein and nutrients because their appetite drops so dramatically.
That matters because muscle isn’t just about appearance. It supports metabolism, strength, balance, mobility, and long-term health as we age.
The solution isn’t avoiding these medications. It’s making sure your body is properly supported while using them.
That means strength training with a clear, individualized plan focused on preserving lean muscle, supporting posture and movement, and helping you stay strong as the weight comes off.
Don’t lose weight in a way that undermines your overall health. Reach out today for a free consultation, we have packages and programs for everybody.
You can do it, we can help!
